To begin with, it has a diesel CRDI VCDi engine with a displacement of 1991 cc. It delivers an excellent power at 150 PS@4000 rpm and a superior torque 320 Nm@ 2000 rpm, thereby delivering excellent acceleration and performance even at low speeds. The engine is developed in collaboration with VM Motari.

The Chevrolet Captiva comes with 5 gear manual transmission, with the ability to seat a maximum of seven people. It is equipped with a standard power assisted rack and pinion steering. It can even manoeuvre tight spaces with a turning radius of 5.8 meters.

In the looks section, the vehicle is provided with strong wheel cut outs and a powerful shoulder line. The front fenders are equipped with air intake ports that add a futuristic touch to the Captiva. The indicator lights, which are embedded in the rear view mirror add to the overall sophistication. Overall, the vehicle presents a neat sporty look.

The Captiva is also a clear winner in the interiors section. The Chevrolet Captiva is equipped with illuminated ignition key dock, audio control on steering wheels, tilt adjustable rear restraints, sliding arm rest with dual compartments, rear arm rest with storage area, beige leather interiors and even a sporty leather knob.

The Captiva incorporates self levelling suspension technology (ALRC - automatic level ride control) for a firmer ride no matter whatever surface it encounters on the roads in urban and country settings.

Along with front and rear ventilated discs, the Chevrolet Captiva looks really captivating with 17" alloy wheels. These come along with 17" R17 tubeless tyres. Additionally, it has a high ground clearance of 197 mm to negotiate a variety of surfaces. The Chevrolet Captiva also has premium safety features for a vehicle of its genre. It has a rigid monocoque body with ABS and EBD with dual front airbags for enhanced safety.
