GM/Daewoo "Winstorm" ---OR--- Chevrolet "Captiva"?

I bought a SUV in Korea. GM/Daewoo Winstorm, 2007, 2.0L V-4(yea I know it tiny), AWD. The dealership debadged it and now it's a Chevrolet Captive.....sounds AU to me.

I can not figure out what would this be in the states because I want to purchase a few items. Any help with how and where to by itmes?

Wait...you bought this car IN KOREA, then...the KOREAN dealership changed the badge? That's odd. AFAIK, the Daewoo brand is still sold there.

The Chevy Captiva is the badge on exported versions of that car in most markets. Though I'm not entirely certain whether all Chevy Captivas are actually made in Korea. The Winstorm is roughly the same as the Chevy Equinox or Saturn Vue in the US.

Make sure if you're trying to get US powertrain components that it's for the same engine, though.

Oh yeah, and if you're thinking of it, chances are you cannot import it to the US, and you will not be able to for about 25 years. It isn't legal to do so.

Also, that's an INLINE 4, not a V-4. V-4s haven't been used in anything but a few motorcycles and boats for almost 30 years.

GM has taken over Daewoo all over the world .It is marketing Daewoo products with the Chevy brand.Nothing to worry everything is the same , the perfomance is not degraded .

Keep your cool .
